It's always fun to get things in the mail! Letters take about 3-4 weeks to be delivered but have been know to take much longer in some cases. Despite this, I still feel that hand written mail is the best :) Address all letters and packages exactly as follows:

Packages
These can be tricky, but are well worth the wait...and the excitement they cause! It's amazing how much a care package can brighten your week/month knowing that someone took the time to put it together for you :)
Packages:
*The smaller the better. Padded envelopes and shoe boxes work great, but anything larger than a 12x15in box is a no no.
* Ziploc bag anything edible
* on the outside of the package use hard to decipher words like confectioners instead of candy and hopefully everything will stay inside the package
* underestimate on the price- figure that anything you buy is as good as used, please take it out of the packaging, don’t wrap things, and cut off price tags. it may even been best to use the items first so they don't get fined
* heavy things are quite expensive, so be prepared! :) remember, good things come in small packages!
* use lots of tape or one of those thick packages sold for mailing stuff
* packages take 4-8 weeks to arrive
* more expensive ways to ship things and ‘guarentees’ don’t actually work here, so better to go the slower and less expensive route
Suggestions of fun things to send:
* dk chocolate, sour gummis, red vines, anything sweet
* nature's valley or kashi’s dark chocolate cherry granola bars
* dissolvable travel soap flakes (I never leave home without them!)
* your favorite recipes
* cards, notes, pictures from/of you
* package of cute cards for correspondence or sticky notes/note paper
* a devotional or good Christian book
* a good fiction book (quite expensive in Zambia and poor selection- used are welcome)
* any clothing items that might be my size (medium ;)
* spot remover
*Flavored tea
*Sermons from your church
*Music
*Movies

Email/Phone
I currently do not have regular email access. Please feel free to email me but understand that it may take me a few weeks to respond to you. The only reliable access we have at this time is in Lusaka and we only travel there about once every 6-8 weeks. However, I will get back to you if you send me something. I love getting pictures and updates even if it is prolonged in coming.
I do have access to Skype when I am in Lusaka and am able to make phone calls during that time. If you have this program downloaded on your computer then send a request to my inbox and I can call you on my next visit to town.
Unless you have SkypeOut or a calling card and are willing to call my cell phone then the only other form of communication I have is via snail mail. Remember that we also have no access to news so if something big or interesting happens send me an email and tell me about, otherwise I have no clue what is going on in the world. I'm not sure if that's good or bad :)
